I’ve always felt drawn to the term mystery. How it embodies so much depth and complexity that goes beyond humanity. I’ve always felt intrigued about what makes mysteriousness, whether it be life experiences, personality, or mindset. Is mystery something we choose or does it choose us?
I believe that mystery lies within multiple sources — one of them being to have lived. Life experiences makes us grow, both in spirit and through our bodies. We learn who we are and strive to be who we want to be. Our experiences changes our outlook on life, but it is in the magic of having lived that we find mystery. A person can be mysterious by nature, but as you unravel the layers of their being, you might not find raw, profound substance. You might not find that piece of work that makes you wonder about the longevity of life, and how immortality reflects itself in their existence. When you reach the core of that mysterious person, you’d find a soul not much different from yours. Why? Because we all go about life in different ways; some are introverted and others extroverted. Some people are an open book whilst others remain closed, but deep inside, our thoughts and feelings are alike in the context of how age has defined us. But true mystery that embodies an immortal core lies within the person who sought to live life in its truest form. Not only challenge oneself, but live in the challenge. Someone who exposed their heart to the worst of torment to the epitome of bliss, and everything in between. Someone who learned to understand all the levels and stages connected to every last experience, just by repeating it over and over again. Someone who went through hell and back again, allowing them to have experienced the far best and the far worst. A mysterious person is a person who understands that you can’t experience everything in one life, and that you have to pick and choose your battles to fit your own path. However, they seek to go through the extremes of life in order to gain enough strength and perspective to understand the purpose of our being. Meaning is the most prevalent question we need an answer to in order to find ourselves relevant in this world. Without it, we can’t determine our own worth in context to others. When you see this truly mysterious person, you’d recognize that you don’t understand how their brain is wired because their wisdom transcends normality. They feel timeless and they’re easily adaptable in different social settings whilst still projecting a certain unmatched charisma. A mysterious person has experienced enough to be very opinionated and having a strong moral compass because you can only ignore something so much until it starts affecting you. Lastly, a mysterious person can discuss a matter from different possible standpoints because they’ve most likely contemplated it before due to their accumulation of observations and analysis. A lot of people confuse mysteriousness as being a personality trait, when it is in reality a filter. It makes a person hard to read, not unreadable when you enter their core. Every person in existence, no matter how long they’ve lived, no matter if they were immortal, would still be different people, because their values lies elsewhere. Overcoming challenges makes a fighter, leading a people makes a warrior. Valuing unity makes moral nobility, valuing alliances makes loyal alignment. Everyone leads with one dominant personality trait.
